- VEHICLE SERVICE: – CHANGE ENGINE OIL AND FILTER – TIRE INFLATION CHECK – BRAKE COMPONENT INSPECTION – ALL FLUID LEVEL CHECK – RESET MAINTENANCE COUNTER
- Confirmed the customer's complaint and found the HVAC blower motor was inoperative. Inspected the HVAC blower motor wiring harness and found no faults. Used a multi-meter to check for voltage at the HVAC blower motor and found voltage was present. Connected a test light in place of the HVAC blower motor, moved the blower motor switch throughout its range, and found the test light illuminated. This indicated the HVAC blower motor wiring and control circuits were functional. Used a set of fused jumper wires to apply voltage and ground to the HVAC blower motor and found the motor was inoperative. These test results verified the HVAC blower motor was faulty. REMOVE ALL NECESSARY COMPONENTS TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE BLOWER MOTOR. CAREFULLY REMOVE AND REPLACE THE BLOWER MOTOR WITH A NEW UNIT TO ENSURE PROPER FUNCTIONALITY OF THE VEHICLE'S CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM. REASSEMBLE ALL REMOVED COMPONENTS, VERIFYING PROPER FITMENT AND SECURE CONNECTIONS. MAKE ALL NECESSARY ADJUSTMENTS TO ENSURE OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE. PERFORM A SYSTEM TEST TO CONFIRM THE BLOWER MOTOR IS OPERATING CORRECTLY AND THAT ALL AFFECTED AREAS ARE FUNCTIONING AS INTENDED.
