Services Performed
- Confirmed the customer's complaint and found the air conditioning was inoperative. Performed a visual inspection of the air conditioning system components, and found no obvious faults. Connected air conditioning refrigerant manifold gauges to the refrigerant high and low service ports. Started the engine and switched the air conditioning to the max position with the blower motor fan on high. The pressures observed on the manifold gauges were below the specified value, which indicated a low refrigerant charge. Used an electronic leak detector, inspected for refrigerant leaks, and found none. The results of these tests verified the air conditioning refrigerant charge was insufficient. – Customer acknowledged notice and gave oral approval of estimated repairs. PERFORMED VACUUM AND CHARGE OF THE A/C SYSTEM TO REMOVE ANY MOISTURE AND AIR CONTAMINATION FROM THE REFRIGERANT LINES. UTILIZED A VACUUM PUMP TO EVACUATE THE SYSTEM TO SPECIFICATION, THEN CHARGED THE SYSTEM WITH THE CORRECT TYPE AND AMOUNT OF REFRIGERANT. VERIFIED SYSTEM PRESSURES AND PERFORMED A FUNCTION TEST TO CONFIRM PROPER OPERATION OF THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM, ENSURING OPTIMAL COOLING PERFORMANCE AND RELIABILITY.
