- Upon inspection, we found that the drive belt had become dislodged but was not damaged. Further examination of the engine pulleys revealed that the tensioner assembly is in poor condition and will likely need replacement.
- We removed the necessary components to access the drive belt area and reinstalled the belt. After testing, the engine started and functioned normally. However, we recommend replacing both the drive belt and the belt tensioner for long-term reliability. After discussing the situation with the customer, they decided to drive the vehicle to CarMax for payment in its current condition and will not proceed with the recommended repairs.
