- VEHICLE SERVICE: – CHANGE ENGINE OIL AND FILTER – TIRE INFLATION CHECK – BRAKE COMPONENT INSPECTION – ALL FLUID LEVEL CHECK – RESET MAINTENCE COUNTER
- Confirmed the customer's complaint and found the air conditioning was inoperative. Performed a visual inspection of the air conditioning system components, and found no obvious faults. Connected air conditioning refrigerant manifold gauges to the refrigerant high and low service ports. Started the engine and switched the air conditioning to the max position with the blower motor fan on high. The pressures observed on the manifold gauges were below the specified value, which indicated a low refrigerant charge. Used an electronic leak detector, inspected for refrigerant leaks, and found none. The results of these tests verified the air conditioning refrigerant charge was insufficient. PERFORM A THOROUGH VACUUM OF THE A/C SYSTEM TO REMOVE ANY MOISTURE AND AIR THAT MAY HAVE ENTERED THE SYSTEM. ONCE THE SYSTEM IS FULLY EVACUATED, CHARGE IT WITH THE SPECIFIED AMOUNT OF REFRIGERANT TO ENSURE OPTIMAL COOLING PERFORMANCE. DURING THIS PROCESS, CHECK FOR ANY POTENTIAL LEAKS OR ISSUES THAT COULD AFFECT THE A/C SYSTEM'S EFFICIENCY. AFTER CHARGING, TEST THE SYSTEM TO CONFIRM THAT IT IS OPERATING PROPERLY AND DELIVERING COOL AIR EFFECTIVELY THROUGHOUT THE VEHICLE.
