- Connected a scan tool and found code P0A80 – Replace Hybrid Battery Pack. Using the scan tool, viewed live data and inspected the voltage of each of the high voltage battery cells and found that one battery block was 2 volts lower than the battery blocks. The maximum allowable voltage difference among battery blocks is 300 millivolts, which is what caused this diagnostic trouble code to set. Removed the trunk interior and verified the high voltage battery fan was operating properly and was not plugged. These test results indicated there was a faulty battery block within the high voltage battery, and the high voltage battery would need to be replaced as an entire unit to correct this concern.
