Services Performed
- Confirmed the customer’s complaint of noise from the front suspension during a road test. Raised the vehicle on the lift to inspect all suspension components and isolate the noise. Found that the front lower control arms are torn with excessive play, and the sway bar links are also damaged. Additionally, the left front axle assembly has grease leaking from a torn boot. Lowered the vehicle and performed an up-and-down diagnostic to further isolate the noise, identifying clunking sounds from the front strut assemblies. To eliminate the noise, we recommend replacing these front suspension components. We also noted that the rear right lower control arm shows signs of wear, but for now, our focus will be on resolving the issues with the front suspension, where the noise originates.
- REMOVE ALL NECESSARY COMPONENTS FROM THE FRONT SUSPENSION TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE CONTROL ARMS. DETACH THE ENGINE MOUNTS TO ALLOW THE ENGINE TO BE RAISED, CREATING ADEQUATE CLEARANCE FOR THE CONTROL ARMS TO BE SAFELY REMOVED. REMOVE AND REPLACE THE FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARMS ON BOTH SIDES WITH NEW COMPONENTS TO ENSURE STABILITY AND PROPER FUNCTIONALITY OF THE SUSPENSION SYSTEM. REASSEMBLE ALL REMOVED COMPONENTS, MAKING ALL REQUIRED ADJUSTMENTS TO ENSURE ALIGNMENT AND OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE. CONDUCT A THOROUGH TEST OF ALL AFFECTED AREAS TO CONFIRM THAT THE REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY AND THAT THE VEHICLE IS OPERATING AS EXPECTED.
- REMOVE AND REPLACE FRONT SWAY BAR LINKS
- REMOVE ALL NECESSARY COMPONENTS TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE LEFT AXLE ASSEMBLY. REMOVE AND REPLACE THE LEFT AXLE ASSEMBLY WITH A NEW UNIT, ENSURING PROPER FITMENT AND ALIGNMENT. REASSEMBLE ALL COMPONENTS AND MAKE ANY REQUIRED ADJUSTMENTS TO ENSURE OPTIMAL FUNCTIONALITY.
- REMOVE ALL NECESSARY COMPONENTS FROM THE FRONT SUSPENSION TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE STRUT ASSEMBLY. REMOVE THE COMPLETE FRONT STRUT ASSEMBLY FROM THE VEHICLE. DISASSEMBLE THE FRONT STRUTS AND INSTALL NEW STRUTS ALONG WITH NEW STRUT MOUNTS. REASSEMBLE THE STRUT ASSEMBLY AND INSTALL IT BACK ONTO THE VEHICLE. MAKE ALL REQUIRED ADJUSTMENTS TO ENSURE PROPER ALIGNMENT AND FUNCTIONALITY. TEST THE VEHICLE TO VERIFY THE REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY.
