- Upon confirming the customer's complaint, it was found that the vehicle starts but shifts into neutral when attempting to engage a gear. All necessary electrical components, including fuses, relays, and the battery system, were checked. Covers in the rear were removed to inspect the hybrid battery connections and the small battery connection. The battery was tested and found to be within specification. A thorough inspection of all necessary components in the engine bay and electrical systems was conducted. It was confirmed that the hybrid drive motor inverter has failed, possibly due to a surge in electrical demand or a short circuit, which may have caused an electrical overload or past overheating. Replacement of the drive motor inverter is required.
- REMOVE ALL NECESSARY COMPONENTS IN THE ENGINE BAY TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE DRIVE MOTOR INVERTER. CAREFULLY DISCONNECT AND REMOVE THE FAILED DRIVE MOTOR INVERTER, TAKING SPECIAL CARE TO DOCUMENT THE WIRING AND CONNECTION POINTS. INSTALL THE NEW DRIVE MOTOR INVERTER, ENSURING THAT IT IS SECURELY MOUNTED AND ALL CONNECTIONS ARE PROPERLY ALIGNED. REASSEMBLE ALL COMPONENTS IN THE ENGINE BAY, MAKING ANY NECESSARY ADJUSTMENTS TO ENSURE A PERFECT FIT. DOUBLE-CHECK THAT ALL WIRES ARE INSERTED INTO THEIR PROPER CAVITIES AND THAT ALL OTHER WIRES ARE PROPERLY HARNESSED AND SECURED. CONDUCT A COMPREHENSIVE TEST OF ALL AFFECTED SYSTEMS TO CONFIRM THAT THEY ARE FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY. ENSURE THAT THE NEW DRIVE MOTOR INVERTER OPERATES SMOOTHLY AND THAT THERE ARE NO ISSUES WITH ELECTRICAL INTEGRITY OR PERFORMANCE. FINALIZE THE REPAIR BY PERFORMING A FULL SYSTEM CHECK AND DOCUMENTING THE PROCESS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
