- Connected a scan tool and found code P26CB – Electric Coolant Pump Communication. Performed an inspection of the engine cooling system and found no faults. Used the scan tool to command the engine water pump on and found the pump was inoperative. With the key on, engine off, used a multi-meter to check for the presence of voltage and ground at the engine water pump and found both were present. Used a set of fused jumper wires to apply voltage and ground to the engine water pump and found the engine water pump was inoperative.
- DRAIN COOLING SYSTEM. REMOVE ALL NECESSARY COMPONENTS. REMOVE AND REPLACE WATER PUMP AND THERMOSTAT. ASSEMBLE TOGETHER AND MAKE ALL NECESSARY ADJUSTMENTS.
