- Confirmed the customer's complaint and found the engine did not start. Performed a visual inspection of the battery and battery terminals, but found no obvious faults. Used a multi-meter to measure the voltage across the battery terminals and found the measured voltage was only 5 Volts. Connected a battery charger and charged the battery until the voltage returned to approximately 12.5 Volts. Used a battery load tester to apply a load on the battery and found the battery voltage dropped below 6 Volts, which confirmed the battery was defective.
- BATTERY SERVICE: CLEAN CORRODED BATTERY. REMOVE AND REPLACE BATTERY. MAKE SURE ALL WIRES ARE INSERTED INTO PROPER CAVITIES. RE-ASSEMBLE BACK TOGETHER. CONNECT BATTERY. MAKE SURE ALL OTHER WIRES ARE HARNESSED PROPERLY. TEST ALL AFFECTED SYSTEM.
