- VEHICLE SERVICE: – CHANGE ENGINE OIL AND FILTER – TIRE INFLATION CHECK – BRAKE COMPONENT INSPECTION – ALL FLUID LEVEL CHECK – RESET MAINTENANCE COUNTER
- REMOVE ALL NECESSARY COMPONENTS TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE MECHANISM OF THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE. REMOVE AND REPLACE LEFT FRONT INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE. ASSEMBLE TOGETHER AND MAKE ALL NECESSARY ADJUSTMENTS. TEST ALL AFFECTED AREAS.
- Confirmed the customer's complaint and found the air conditioning was inoperative. Performed a visual inspection of the air conditioning system components, and found no obvious faults. Connected air conditioning refrigerant manifold gauges to the refrigerant high and low service ports. Started the engine and switched the air conditioning to the max position with the blower motor fan on high. The pressures observed on the manifold gauges were below the specified value, which indicated a low refrigerant charge. Used an electronic leak detector, inspected for refrigerant leaks, and found none. The results of these tests verified the air conditioning refrigerant charge was insufficient. VACUUM AND CHARGE A/C SYSTEM.
