    • Connected a scan tool and found code P0341 – Camshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance (Bank 1 or Single Sensor). Performed a road test while monitoring live scan tool data and observed the variable valve timing control solenoid parameter was erratic. Inspected the variable valve timing control solenoid wiring harness and connector and detected no obvious faults. With the ignition on and the engine off, used a multi-meter to check for the presence of voltage and ground at the variable valve timing control solenoid connector and found both were present. Using a set of fused jumper wires, applied voltage and ground to the variable valve timing control solenoid and found the solenoid did not respond, indicating the variable valve timing control solenoid was faulty. Performed an inspection of the throttle body and found the throttle body was coated in carbon deposits. – Customer acknowledged notice and gave oral approval of estimated repairs. REMOVE ALL NECESSARY COMPONENTS. REMOVE AND REPLACE THE VARIABLE VALVE TIMING (VVT) SOLENOID. REASSEMBLE ALL COMPONENTS AND MAKE ALL NECESSARY ADJUSTMENTS.

    • REMOVE ALL NECESSARY COMPONENTS FROM THE FRONT LEFT WHEEL. REMOVE THE COMPLETE KNUCKLE ASSEMBLY, WHEEL BEARING, AND HUB. PRESS THE NEW BEARING INTO THE HUB AND REASSEMBLE ONTO THE KNUCKLE. REINSTALL ALL COMPONENTS, MAKE ALL NECESSARY ADJUSTMENTS, AND TEST ALL AFFECTED AREAS FOR PROPER OPERATION.
    • REMOVE ALL NECESSARY COMPONENTS FROM THE FRONT RIGHT WHEEL. REMOVE THE COMPLETE KNUCKLE ASSEMBLY, WHEEL BEARING, AND HUB. PRESS THE NEW BEARING INTO THE HUB AND REASSEMBLE ONTO THE KNUCKLE.     • Connected a scan tool and found code P0303 – Cylinder 3 Misfire Detected. Inspected the air intake system and found no concerns. Visually inspected the ignition system and found no obvious faults. Connected a spark tester to the ignition coil, ran the engine, and found the coil did not produce a steady spark. Attached a lab scope with an inductive ammeter to the ignition coil control circuit, ran the engine, and monitored the ignition coil primary amperage waveform on the lab scope. The ignition coil primary amperage waveform monitored on the lab scope indicated the ignition coil was shorted. These test results verified the ignition coil was faulty. – Customer acknowledged notice and gave oral approval of estimated repairs. REMOVE ALL NECESSARY COMPONENTS. REMOVE AND REPLACE THE IGNITION COIL FOR CYLINDER NUMBER 3. REASSEMBLE ALL COMPONENTS AND MAKE THE REQUIRED ADJUSTMENTS. RESET THE ECU AND PERFORM TESTING ON ALL AFFECTED AREAS.

    • CAREFULLY REMOVE ALL NECESSARY COMPONENTS TO ACCESS THE STARTER MOTOR. REMOVE THE FAULTY STARTER MOTOR AND REPLACE IT WITH A NEW ONE, ENSURING ALL WIRES ARE CONNECTED TO THEIR PROPER TERMINALS. REASSEMBLE ALL COMPONENTS, ENSURING PROPER ALIGNMENT AND SECURE INSTALLATION. RECONNECT THE BATTERY AND VERIFY THAT ALL WIRING HARNESSES ARE PROPERLY SECURED. PERFORM A THOROUGH TEST OF ALL AFFECTED SYSTEMS TO CONFIRM PROPER OPERATION AND FUNCTIONALITY.

    • Confirmed the customer's complaint and found engine coolant leaked from the vehicle. Inspected the engine coolant and found the engine coolant level was low. Filled the engine coolant to the proper operating level, attached a pressure tester to the engine cooling system and pressurized the system to check for leaks. The engine cooling system did not retain the applied pressure, which indicated an engine coolant leak was present. Continued to apply pressure to the engine cooling system, inspected the system for signs of an external engine coolant leak and found the radiator had leaked.
    • RADIATOR REPLACEMENT:
    • VEHICLE SERVICE: – CHANGE ENGINE OIL AND FILTER – TIRE INFLATION CHECK – BRAKE COMPONENT INSPECTION – ALL FLUID LEVEL CHECK – RESET MAINTENANCE COUNTER
    • INSPECTED THE WASHER FLUID SYSTEM AND FOUND THAT THE WIPER FLUID WAS NOT SPRAYING. VERIFIED THAT THE FLUID LEVEL WAS AT THE PROPER LEVEL AND CHECKED THE WASHER LINES, WHICH WERE NOT CLOGGED. HOWEVER, THE LEFT-SIDE WASHER NOZZLE WAS COMPLETELY BLOCKED, PREVENTING FLUID FLOW. REMOVED AND REPLACED THE LEFT-SIDE WASHER FLUID NOZZLE. REASSEMBLED ALL COMPONENTS AND PERFORMED A COMPREHENSIVE TEST OF THE WASHER SYSTEM TO ENSURE PROPER FUNCTIONALITY. CONFIRMED THAT ALL AFFECTED AREAS ARE OPERATING CORRECTLY, WITH ADEQUATE FLUID FLOW THROUGH BOTH NOZZLES.

    • Connected a scan tool and found code P3400 – Cylinder Deactivation System (Bank 1). Performed a road test and confirmed the cylinder deactivation system was not operating. Inspected the cylinder deactivation system wiring and connections, but found no faults. Inspected the engine oil level and condition, but found no obvious concerns. At idle, used the scan tool to view live data and found the engine oil pressure sensor was indicating low engine oil pressure. Removed the engine oil pressure sensor, inserted a hydraulic engine oil pressure gauge, started the engine and found the engine oil pressure was within the specified range. Used a multi-meter to measure the continuity of the engine oil pressure sensor and found the sensor had no continuity. These test results verified the engine oil pressure sensor was faulty. – Customer acknowledged notice and gave oral approval of estimated repairs. REMOVE ALL NECESSARY COMPONENTS. REMOVE AND REPLACE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR. ASSEMBLE TOGETHER AND MAKE ALL NECESSARY ADJUSTMENTS. TEST ALL AFFECTED AREAS. RESET ECU.
