Confirmed the customer's complaint and heard a humming noise from the vehicle. Performed a visual inspection of the tires for signs of abnormal wear, and found no faults. An inspection of the front brakes revealed no obvious faults. Rotating the wheel hub assembly, found roughness was present, which indicated the wheel hub bearings were faulty. The wheel hub bearings will need to be replaced with the wheel hub, and are replaced as an entire unit. With the vehicle back on the ground, repeatedly bounced the vehicle up and down while using a stethoscope to isolate the noise, and confirmed the noise came from the suspension strut. Also sway bar links are torn. Further more used a pry bar and found play in the inner suspension control arm bushings. Performed a visual inspection of the suspension control arm and found the suspension control arm was damaged.

REMOVE ALL NECESSARY COMPONENTS. REMOVE LEFT FRONT DOOR PANEL ASSEMBLY. REMOVE AND REPLACE WINDOW REGULATOR AND MOTOR ASSEMBLY. ASSEMBLE TOGETHER AND MAKE ALL NECESSARY ADJUSTMENTS. TEST ALL AFFECTED AREAS.
Filled the engine coolant to the proper operating level, attached a pressure tester to the engine cooling system and pressurized the system to check for leaks. The engine cooling system did not retain the applied pressure, which indicated an engine coolant leak was present. Continued to apply pressure to the engine cooling system, inspected the system for signs of an external engine coolant leak and found the water distribution housing is leaking from the gasket. REMOVE ALL NECESSARY COMPONENTS. REMOVE AND REPLACE WATER DISTRIBUTION GASKET. ASSEMBLE TOGETHER AND MAKE ALL NECESSARY ADJUSTMENTS. ADD ANTI-FREEZE COOLANT. TEST ALL AFFECTED AREAS.

Confirmed the customer's complaint and found the engine did not crank or start. Performed a visual inspection of the battery and battery cables, but found no obvious faults. Used a multi-meter to measure the voltage across the battery terminals and found the measured voltage was below the specified range. Connected a battery charger and charged the battery until the voltage returned to normal specifications. Used a battery conductance tester to test the battery and found the battery was able to conduct the specified amount of current, which verified it operated properly. Used an alternator load tester to test the alternator by placing the battery under load, raised the engine speed to 1,500 RPM, and found the measured alternator output was below the specified minimum amperage. Performed a visual inspection of the alternator wiring and connections and found no obvious faults. Inspected the drive belt and found the drive belt was properly tensioned but was severely cracked, which confirmed the drive belt was faulty. Used the multi-meter to test for battery and ignition voltage at the alternator and found all voltage inputs were present. With the ignition switched on, visually verified the charge indicator light was functioning properly. The results of these tests verified the alternator was also faulty.
REMOVE ALL NECESSARY COMPONENTS. REMOVE AND REPLACE ALTERNATOR. ASSEMBLE TOGETHER AND MAKE ALL NECESSARY ADJUSTMENTS. TEST ALL AFFECTED AREAS.
